LiveConfig has always followed the principle of data economy. By default, practically no data about the use of the LiveConfig software is transmitted to the manufacturer (LiveConfig GmbH). The following data is transmitted under the specified conditions in compliance with all data protection regulations (transmission, use, deletion); it is never passed on to third parties:

  • License code: license information (activation code or license number) and the LiveConfig version number are transmitted to activate and renew the license

  • Crash reports: (only if this option has been explicitly activated) - contains information on the LiveConfig version and a “stack dump” (list of addresses that led to the error). Only the memory addresses and library filenames are transferred, never any memory contents.

  • Statistics data: (only if this option has been explicitly activated) - transmits information about the operating system (distribution, version) and the list of services managed by LiveConfig together with a unique, random ID. No data on the number of domains, users or other resources is transmitted. If this option is being deactivated, the data is immediately deleted from the LiveConfig GmbH servers.

Crash reports and statistical data are disabled by default (“opt-in”). We are of course very happy if you share this data with us, as it really helps us to maintain and further develop LiveConfig. The transferred data is not linked to a license number or customer data, and we make sure that our developers and technicians are not able to assign the data retrospectively.
